Jiddu Krishnamurthy community

Can anybody explain the God from JK's point of view?
Man’s basic problem is that he is trapped in a restless mind and what he really yearns for is the freedom of a restful mind. He begins life with a restless mind because he begins life dependent on his sensory organs. For the escape he has to turn within to his consciousness. The turning within is what all masters, including Jiddu Krishnamurthy, have taught.

Once we attain the peace within, we alone exist, both as the nucleus as well as the sum-total. We wake up to the divinity and perfection that alone is.

Mulayankavu Bhagavati Temple community

Generators and negative vibrations
I participated in this year's pooram. One point I wished to bring to the attention of the administrators (but was not able to as I returned to Mumbai immediately after the Pooram) is that the practice of using generators to light the decorations have become common. However, I felt that when all the Kalas were brought down into the temple courtyard, the sound and smoke emmission from all the generators created vibrations that went against the spiritual vibrations in the temple. I therefore think we must order all generators switched off at least before being brought down to the court yard. If others too feel the same way, the matter may be brought before the administration for consideration.

Tat Aham Asi.
Religion, generally defined, is both the teaching as well as the pursuit of the highest truth, call it God, Self, Consciousness, Advaita or whatever. The key point is, it is a movement from a restless mind to a restful mind. Therefore it is quite different from the pursuit of knowledge or information. It is a pursuit that begins with disillusionment. After finding all pursuits unsatisfactory, the seeker discovers the dissatisfaction was because the pursuits were towards the 'outside'. Now he attempts the religious path, the path within. It is however not to be construed that disillusionment alone makes the religious man. If we take into consideration the phenomena of births and rebirths, it would be no surprise that some are born spiritual, like Adi Shankaracharya. He went through the phases in his previous janmas. The journey within culminates in the realisation that the journey itself was an illusion - we have always been the restful nature we sought and it was 'maya' that diverted our awareness of this the ultimate truth. We are ever in the Advaitic or non-dual truth. We thus attain moksha from maya. We are the God we sought. Satchitananda.

The unseen Nellayite

I am the original Non-Resident Nellayite! Both my father and mother are from Nellaya but I was born in Malaysia. First came to Nellaya for my 'choru-unnu' when I was one year old (6 months late) and then again when I was about 5 years old. But I finally returned to Nellaya at 15 but before long I went to Muscat, where I stayed for almost 8 years and then returned to Nellaya and again was intermittently all over the place in India for 10 years, went back to Muscat for 6 years and so on and so forth. I am now in Mumbai and have been away from Nellaya for 10 years (except for a 10 day break I took to be with my ailing mother for 10 days this May). So there you have it - a largely unseen Nellayite.

Sitting on Nellaya bridge (mid-way between Krishnapadi and Pallipadi) facing Marayamangalam in the evening and watching the sun set is an enchanting experience . . . the silver streamlet parting the green carpet of paddy fields and the faraway blue mountains, the cloudless sky with streaks of ochre and crimson and the fiery orange ball going over the horizon, the cool winds on your face . . .

RSS - creating the rhythmic waves to awaken the nation

RSS is an organisation formed out of those who attend shakas - the swayamsevaks. To strengthen RSS, swayamsevaks should attend shakas daily and intensely. The ideal of the RSS is to take India to the pinnacle of glory. It shall be a glory that shall inspire all nations to strive for peace and harmony based on freedom and creativity. As swayamsevaks it is not only our duty to attend shakas, we have also to master the art of conducting shakas so as to attract more and more people to the shakhas. Shakha is not merely the getting together of swayamsevaks. It is a sadhana. Which means it is essentially spiritual. Spirituality leads to freedom from limitations. When swayamsevaks become spiritual, which they shall if they attend shakha daily and have a packed one hour of sadhana (from Sampatha to Veegra with dwaja-pranam, yoga, patha-vignas, niyudha, danda yudh, khel, mandala, geet, parichay, boudhik and prarthana), we shall be able to make others spiritual too and we shall in due course of time be dynamic members of a nation arisen from its long years of slumber. Bharath Mata ki jai!

Nellaya community

Venu:
Dear Rajeev, Thanks for inviting me to join in as a member of "NELLAYA" village community and accepting me aboard. For some years now I am somewhat of a non-community man, being a recluse of sorts. However, I did visit Nellaya for 10 days in May, after being away for 10 years, to see my ailing mother, who has since passed away. My house is behind Nellaya Siva Temple (the one beside Nellaya Wariam) and my father is late Kaikulath Kunhiraman Nair. I am now staying in Mumbai with my wife and 2 children. Please do tell me about yourself.

ON THE SAME DAY BEFORE THREE YEARS THE SADLY THING HAPPENDS,ON THE DAY OF YOUTH FESTIVAL THESE TWO BOYS DROWNED IN THE THOTHA RIVER.THE WHOLE VILLAGE CRIED ON THAT DAY, GOD TAKE TWO BROTHERS TOGETHER ON SAME DAY AT SAME PLACE.EVEN AFTER DEATH ONE OF THEM (SHIBU) BROUGHT BRAVERY AWARD TO NELLAYA FOR TRYING TO SAVE HIS OWN BROTHER FROM THE RIVER.LETS PRAY FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILY AT THIS MOMENT MOMENT WHEN IT GOT THREE YEARS.

The beloved brothers
It is only now that I have come to know of the tragic deaths of the beloved brothers, whom I had not known personally. Though they say lightning never strikes the same place twice, it has most unfortunately struck Sabu and Shibu's family twice. No doubt the brothers who were together in death would be born, if not already, as brothers and may we hope that they are born in Nellaya itself. May all who knew them recollect fond memories and write in this community message board.

Is Islam an idol-assisted worshipping religion?

Dear Bishrudhin Sharqi,

I've got to know from your introduction at Nellaya community that you are national president of SIO. Very impressive. A Nellayite being the national president of an organisation is naturally a pride for Nellaya. I am also from Nellaya. I was for sometime active in the RSS. Now I am working in Mumbai and have become somewhat of a recluse. Islam has always been a subject of interest for me. I was in the Gulf for many years and have stayed with Muslims and therefore may claim to know a bit of the Muslim psyche. I've recently written a piece which you might consider as outrageous. You may access it at my blogsite www.kaikulath.blogspot.com. It’s about Islam actually being an idol worshiping (or at least idol-assisted worshiping) religion. Since you are in an eminent position you would hardly have the time to sit down for an argument with me. You might therefore want to pass on this message to a person in your organisation who you think would be competent to discuss on the subject. I assure you that I would keep the tone of the discussion such so as to generate light and not heat.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

The dance and the dancer

Do you agree with the defination of absolute truth{or absolute reality} to be-->
a phenomenon {or object} that under any circumstance, during any period of time remains constant or do not change.

Your question is valid but your answer options are not appropriate to the question. I have peforce randomly ticked a answer in order to comment what I think could be a more appropriate answer. Awakened, the infinite is what we are. Unawakened, finite we can only grasp the infinite as an idea bounded by words. But through the silences between the words we use, we would awaken to the infinite. And the infinite experiences the dance of the finite. The finite would say it is the dance of the infinite. But the dance and dancer is inseparable. Then, when and where is the infinite finite and the finite infinite?
