Sree Valluvanad Vidya Bhavan

Dinu:
may i know how u r related to sree valluvanad vidya bhavan????

I worked in Sree Valluvanad Vidya Bhavan as a clerk for a year. That was about 10 years ago. At that time Krishnadas Sar was the Principal. Our one and only Parthanji knows me well. In fact, I came to our school in May this year, when I had come down from Mumbai for a few days. I am now working in Mumbai. If I am honoured to be a member of your community, I might bore you sometimes with my unsolicited comments.

Proud to be an Indian!!??????
site any two incidents in which You felt really proud to be an Indian and the second one in which You felt really ashamed to be an Indian...
Venu
Pride and shame.
I am always proud to be an Indian. I felt particularly proud to be an Indian when I learnt that L.N.Mittal, who had just taken over a huge European steel company and become the world's largest steel producer, had never given up his Indian citizenship even though if he had held a British passport it would have been easier for him to have taken over the European steel company. On the other hand, it is an ongoing shame for me that Sonia Gandhi, a foreigner, was brought in by Congress and we Indians fail to recognise that we have a foreigner deciding our fate.

La Salle Brickfields

Hi Vinod,

Your name came on-screen when I typed 'La Salle Brickfields' in Orkut. I studied in La Salle Brickfields and completed my LCE in 1969. Left for India in 1970, where I've been ever since, except for long sojourns in Oman, where I was working. Am now in Mumbai, still working. Are you staying in KL? Please tell me about your La Salle days. When I was there, Dennis Armstrong was the head-master.

Dear Vinod, I wrote two weeks back and you promptly replied. I am the ever lazy one and on top of that, I seem to be perennially suffering from writer's block. Last but not least, I lost your reply and it does not help that I have an atrocious memory. You did mention your uncle who is no more. Alas, tragedy ever seems to occur in the midst of life. And life goes on ... Were you planning to go on a picnic atop a hill of pine trees? I am now something of a recluse and I am rarely found in company. (Years back I was a different me - an social activist and all that. Well, life goes on ...).

Do post some latest photos of La Sale Brickfields in your album. I would like to see how my old school looks now.

My best wishes to your family and yourself. I see a cute boy on your lap. What’s his name?

Muscat (Overseas)

Hi folks,

Pleasant surprise to come upon your site. I was a Muscat (Overseas)ian a long time ago. In fact would like to think was one of the pioneers but the credit of being THE PIONEER goes to A.S.Hameed. I joined in 1975 and remained on board till 1982. Abdul Razak, who went on to become the most successful of us all, joined after I did. There were many others too, in those good old days. Maybe I will recount the stories as we go by. When did you folks join? When I joined, Mahmood Macki was the owner. Is Abdul Razak still with Muscat (Overseas)? If he is, please tell him to drop me a line at venu1005@hotmail.com.
Looking forward to hearing about you all and Muscat (Overseas).
